EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT

I have some news to share with you all. First, this is the last challenge for this term. A huge thank you to all of the Whimsical Designers. They have made what Whimsical Wednesday is today, and each week they have created the most wonderful projects to inspire you all. This has been an amazing experience, and I have enjoyed working with them all so much. They are not only amazingly talented, but some of the sweetest ladies I have ever met! Next week I have some big news to share with you all, and I can hardly wait. I have been busy working on it since last October, and it is finally time to share it. Because of this Whimsical Wednesdays is moving back to it's original home, Whimsical Designs (formerly Always Crafting). All of the challenges will continue to be on Wednesdays, and we will still be called Whimsical Wednesdays, with most of the same fabulous designers. It will be much easier and more organized to have everything in one place. It has been difficult keeping up with two blogs so I am really looking forward to the change.

My dear sweet friend Cindy is opening her own Digital Stamp Shop! How exciting. Most of you know who Cindy is and have seen her amazing stamps. Now you will be able to get your own. How about more fun challenges? Cindy has put together a talented group of sweet inspiring ladies and will be having challenges every Monday. "Halloween Has Creeped Into Our Homes"

Hello Whimsical Crafters. I hope you are all enjoying our Halloween month, and are getting fun ideas from the designers. As I have mentioned before, there is some changes about to happen with Whimsical Wednesdays, and I am so busy working on them all. I have not had ONE extra second to get around and comment, and have not been crafting. It won't be long until the changes take place, and I can't wait to get back to visiting all your blogs, and posting my projects. Thank you all for your patience, and understanding. Because of the upcoming changes, the next two challenges will only stay opened for one week each, instead of two. I know it can be such a bummer when you think you have longer to get into a challenge only to realize you missed the deadline. So please make a note of the change for the next two challenges. I would also like to mention that it has come to my attention that SOMEONE is going around e-mailing people giving them false information about winning stuff off this blog, and my personal blog, Whimsical Designs. Hello crafty friends. I am writing this on Saturday night and scheduling it for Wednesday's post. We all hope that everyone is safe and that this Hurricane comes and goes without leaving too much damage. I decided on Saturday night that we would cancel our challenge this week. I live on the East Coast in Upstate NY and the Hurricane is headed right in our direction. I am certain that our power is going to go out, and who knows when it will be restored. I did not want anyone on our team to have to worry about getting projects and post ready.

In the meantime the "Inspiring Words" challenge is still opened. If you have not already checked it out the ladies project's are amazing, and I am sure you will gets lots of great ideas. Just scroll down for the details.

I also forgot to mention, in last weeks post, that on October 7 at 7pm EST we are having our Whimsical Halloween Blog Hop. We are all so excited about the hop. Hello Whimsical Friends. I hope everyone is having a great week! I was at the mall the other day, and could not believe how crowded it was. Everyone is doing the back to school shopping. People were practically knocking each other over, you would have thunk they were giving away free cricuts, lol:) It is time for another challenge. We all get inspiration for different places, this week we are challenging ourselves and you all to be inspired by words. Take a look at the photo. What word pops out to you first and what is the first thing you think of when you see that word?

Hello Whimsical friends. These weeks are just flying right by. I really can not believe how quickly this challenge blog has grown, and the amount of entries we have gotten. I not only speak for myself, but for the team, when I say it has been so much fun stopping by all your blogs, reading your posts, and seeing all of your wonderful creations. We have even made some friends along the way.

Before we get to this weeks challenge, I wanted to mention a few things. Lately I have seen an increase in entries that do not meet the requirements for a specific challenge. For example the first Wednesday of the month is scrapbook pages ONLY. If you are entering projects that have nothing to do with the challenge that week, it leads me to believe that those people just stopped in and entered a project, without even reading the post or looking at the Design Team's work. Please be sure to read what the challenge is for that week before entering your project. I am also asking that when you link your project, that it is a direct link to your post, and not your blog. If you just link your blog, it becomes difficult to find your actual entry. The ladies on this design team take tremendous pride in bringing you their best work each week. They also make it a priority to leave a comment on each and every entry that is submitted here. I am asking that you all respect them and their work. It is very important to me that Whimsical Wednesdays continues to be a blog that people can come to for inspiration, ideas, encouragement and support. Thanks to all of you for your understanding. As you all probably know, in addition to running this blog, I have my own personal blog too. The past few months have been very hectic, and my personal blog has gotten less and less attention. It is a ton of work, and time consuming running a challenge blog. I am thrilled to announce that Jessica from Chick-n-Scrap has taken on the role of sponsor/blog coordinator. Jessica has been functioning in this role for the past month or so, and is doing a fabulous job. Welcome to Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #13. Before we get started with this weeks challenge I have to say thank you to the DT for such a great three months. It is because of all your dedication, hard work, and amazing projects that WW has become a success. To all the participants who have supported us, a thank you, to you as well. For our challenge this week both card teams agreed to participate and make get well cards for a fellow bloggers grandson. Margie, from Bella Bug Creations, Grandson, Angelo, (he if fifteen months old) is going through a very difficult time right now. Angelo underwent brain surgery last week to remove a brain tumor, and will begin chemotherapy (I think today actually). We all hope that this will bring a little cheer to him and his family. Whimsical Wednesday Challenge #1

Good morning and welcome! Thank you to everyone who joined in the Whimsical Wednesday blog hop. It was so much fun reading all of your sweet comments about the design team and the new blog. I will announce the winners of the blog hop at the end of the post.

This is an exciting week because it is our first challenge here on the new blog, and instead of just having one or two projects for inspiration you have seven. Cindy from the card team will now also be designing for the scrapbooking team:). This week it's all about scrapbooking.
